Who We Are
Founded in Hamilton, Ontario by President Tony Youssef, UCI began with a vision to transform local commercial cleaning and how businesses experienced cleanliness and maintenance. Since 2008, we have grown from a modest subcontracting venture into a leading Hamilton-based facility services provider, trusted by reputable chains and commercial sites throughout Ontario. The strength of our company lies in our people, our integrity, and our continuous drive to improve.
Our Journey
Our journey began humbly, subcontracting for some of Canada’s largest janitorial and facility service providers. This foundational experience was vital; it allowed us to see firsthand where the industry succeeded and, more importantly, where it failed. We recognized that clients were tired of fragmented communication and inconsistent quality, so we built UCI to be the “One-Point Contact” solution the industry was missing.
Over nearly two decades, we have evolved from a specialized local venture into one of Ontario’s most trusted commercial cleaning & facility service partners. We have navigated the complexities of high-compliance environments, including industrial plants, healthcare facilities, and major retail chains. By integrating rigorous health and safety protocols with our “Clean Smart, Not Hard” philosophy, we have scaled our operations without ever losing the personalized touch of a Hamilton-born business.
Today, our growth reflects the trust our clients place in us every day. Universal Cleaners Inc. has reached a milestone of managing over 2 million square feet of facility space daily across Ontario.
